HUBBA BUBBA was first introduced in the United States in 1979.
"Hubba Hubba"
The brand got its’ name from the phrase, "Hubba Hubba”. This saying came from members of the US military in World War II – which soldiers used to indicate that they approved of something.

HUBBA BUBBA was first launched in our classic 5-Piece Chunk format, with HUBBA BUBBA BUBBLE TAPE following in 1988. HUBBA BUBBA BUBBLE TAPE was launched in a canister as a unique way to decide how big you wanted your bubble to be!
